Although there are many total gym accessories, here are a few that you really should have. They will eventually grow to be favorite accessories. Here are a few of these accessories:
These are just some of the best total gym accessories. Of course, your accessories will depend on your routine and what muscle areas you are concentrating on at the moment; but more often than not, these are the best options when it comes to your workout accessories.
Wing Attachment. This piece of equipment will allow you to do all sorts of routines or workouts including chin ups, leg curls, sit ups and military presses. The latter is performed by lying on your stomach, facing the bottom of the machine. This is particularly useful for people who cannot pull off a correct chin up or pull up using an overhead bar. By using a wing attachment, you will be able to perform a pull up or a chin up. This is perfect for any age or weight. (You mixed up your descriptions on this exercise. Military press is the one where you are facing the bottom of the machine. It is equivalent to pressing weight overhead. On a pull up / chin up, you are facing the top of the machine)
Dipping Bar. This is really great for isolating the rear arm muscles, particularly the triceps. This is actually the biggest part of your arms and dipping bars are great for building this. When done properly, the routine can be compared to doing chin ups or pull ups. (I wouldn’t compare the dip to chin ups / pull ups. The muscle groups worked are different since dips are a push movement and chin ups / pull ups are a pull movement) Many women prefer to use this accessory when doing total gym exercises because this is perfect for flabby arms.
Chrome Handles. What kind of handles should you get? It depends on your total gym. These handles, however, are important to many exercises. Typically, you will get rubber handles, but you can choose to get chrome handles instead. The hard rubber, chrome handles are more durable and they offer better comfort.
Pilates Stand. This is one of the best total gym accessories for people who are into Pilates. They can integrate a Pilates routine into their weight training as well. Not everyone uses this accessory, however, but if you are suffering from knee problems, you might want to use this stand and integrate this into your workout.
